CADD Centre Ties-up With Syscoms to Launch New Franchise Centre in Qatar

Qatar, August 10, 2009: The India-based CADD Centre Limited, Asia’s largest training institutes of computer aided design (CAD), computer aided engineering (CAE), and programme & project management (PPM) products, has signed up a partnership with Syscoms Information Technology , a division of EMKE Group, a diversified corporate house based at Middle East, to launch its franchise centre at Qatar.


The new CADD Centre will be operational from September 2009 with Indian instructors offering training in civil / architecture and electrical CAD products, besides offering courses on project management skills, methods, tools that are essential for managers and engineers, addressing the growing demand for these skills in the region.


Talking about the objectives of the new training centre at Qatar, Mr Karaiadi Selvan, Director, CADD Centre, said, “We are very happy to work with Syscoms, which runs several educational institutes that are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific research, UAE.” He added that over the last several years, Qatar’s oil, gas and non-energy sectors have experienced rapid growth. However, similar to what has occurred in other Gulf States, as a consequence of this economic boom, the demand level for skilled engineering and project management human resource far outstrips the supply. “Our presence in Qatar, which is perceived as the most robust economy in the region, will help us offer popular CAD and PPM programs shaped for local industry needs and develop a skilled manpower to work in the most competitive positions,” he said.


CADD Centre has so far successfully trained about 400,000 professionals from diverse engineering, graphic and management backgrounds. CADD Centre Training courses are industry specific and have immediate relevance and use in the industrial world. Mr Selvan said, “Globally, our courseware is highly rated for its form, content and overall quality. With our in-house Curriculum & Product Development team, we will develop course curriculum in consultation with leading companies in Qatar and offer customized CAD/CAM/PPM training for oil & gas, alternative and clean energy, chemicals, engineering services, manufacturing, telecommunications and other emerging industries in Qatar.”
